Shawndra Long is a Certified Wedding Planner, LGBTQ+ Romance Travel Specialist, and entrepreneur based in Hampton Roads, Virginia. As the founder and owner of Illusionz Travel, LLC — also operating as Illusionz Destination Weddings — and the jewelry and accessories brand Dominga Trendz, she has built a portfolio of businesses rooted in creativity, style, and meaningful experiences.
With a passion for destination weddings, romance travel, and immersive group journeys, Shawndra partners with couples, families, and travelers across the US to craft seamless, stress-free adventures — from intimate Caribbean elopements and European group tours to honeymoons in Mexico and once-in-a-lifetime journeys through Japan.
In 2026, Shawndra earned her Japan travel specialization — completing the How To Book Japan Masterclass and building dedicated planning resources to help clients experience everything this destination has to offer. From navigating Tokyo’s electric neighborhoods and the ancient temples of Kyoto, to timing cherry blossom season, selecting the perfect ryokan, and building seamless rail itineraries across the country — Shawndra brings a detailed, hands-on approach to Japanese travel that goes far beyond a basic booking. Japan is now a signature destination in her portfolio, and one she plans with the same depth and care she brings to every trip.

Shawndra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge, and currently serves as a VP Lead Quality Engineer at City National Bank — bringing over 25 years of technology and business expertise to her entrepreneurial ventures.
She holds a SAFe 6.0 Certified Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) certification and is actively pursuing her Microsoft Product Manager with AI certification, reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation.
